Ballina Beacon 18 January 1929
“WRIT SARCASTIC !”
Thanks for the generous offer by the Aero Club (?) to form a branch of the Lismore Aero Club at Ballina.
The “head office,” of course, would be in Lismore and this, perhaps the Lismore Aero Club imagine, would give Lismore an impudent voice in an endeavor to have their aerial pageant staged on the Ballina ‘drome.
The amusing thing is that Lismore has an Aero Club, but no ‘drome; Ballina has a ‘drome, but no club,
and neither Lismore nor Ballina can muster a ‘plane between them.
